 EXHIBIT:  Richard Asbell has re-installed our permanent exhibit, “Unearthed at the Onderdonk House – Artifacts from the 1970's Archaeology Investigations” and added additional material including photos of the other colonial houses along Flushing Avenue.  Members are always free!  

FORGOTTEN TRANSIT PAST:  May 30, 2-4 PM.  Join guest lecturer Robert Diamond from the Brooklyn Historic Railway Association for an thrilling ride (figuratively) through the world's oldest subway tunnel and NYC's streetcar network.  Admission is $3.00 includes admission to the Onderdonk House.  Click here for a flier.

BUSHWICK OPEN STUDIOS: June - 6 pm, June 6 - Noon to 8 PM & June 7 - Noon to 6 PM.  Our 4th year participating in this iconic  Bushwick event.  Our tent is available for artists who are looking for FREE space to exhibit.  Contact us though our email. On Friday evening, June 5th, there will be a screening of short films by women immigrant film makers.  The event is presented by NYC Women in Film and Television (NYCWIFT).  It is coordinated by Elizabeth Estrada, Executive Director of NYCWIFT, and is funded by Council Woman Elizabeth Crowley  The event will begin at 6pm.  Light refreshments will be available.  On Saturday we will be open noon to 8 PM.  On Sunday we will be open noon to 6 PM.  We will update what artists will be exhibiting as we firm this up.

 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: June 13, 12 to 4 PM.  Best Strawberry Shortcake in NYC!!!  Music, games, entertainment, tours of the Onderdonk House and current exhibit.  Adults $5.00, children free. Click here for a flier.

BATTLE OF BROOKLYN EVENT: August 29, 1 PM to 5 PM.  Dramatic Reading of the Declaration of Independence in 18th Century style at 2PM and 4 PM.  Learn about how it was written and the role it played during the Battle of Brooklyn.  Crafting & activities include a history scavenger hunt, writing with quill pens and simulated wampum jewelry.  Adults $5.00, Children free. HARVEST FESTIVAL:  Sunday, October 11, Noon to 4 PM.  Pumpkins and more Pumpkins!  Free pumpkins to the first 500 children, accompanied by an adult.  Live music, entertainment, games, crafts, apple cider making, candle making, tours of the Onderdonk House.  Adults $5.00, Children free.
