 EXHIBIT:  Richard Asbell has re-installed our permanent exhibit, “Unearthed at the Onderdonk House – Artifacts from the 1970's Archaeology Investigations” and added additional material including photos of the other colonial houses along Flushing Avenue.  Members are always free!  

SPRING FLING FOR EARTH DAY:  Saturday, April 25, 12 to 4 PM.  It's Spring!  Come celebrate with the Society.  Music and entertainment, refreshments, children's crafts & games, tours of the Onderdonk gardens and house.   Adults $5.00, Children free. Click here for a flier

RAISE THE ROOF RIBBON CUTTING: May 7, 7 PM.  We did it!!!  With the help of our Council members, Diana Reyna and Elizabeth Crowley and the Department of Cultural Affairs, we replaced our cedar shingled roof.  Look for details here and on our FACEBOOK.    This event is by invitation only.     

BUSHWICK OPEN STUDIOS: June 5, 6 & 7, times TBA.  Our 4th year participating in this iconic  Bushwick event.  Our tent is available for artists who are looking for FREE space to exhibit.  Contact us though our email. 

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: June 13, 12 to 4 PM.  Best Strawberry Shortcake in NYC!!!  Music, games, entertainment, tours of the Onderdonk House and current exhibit.  Adults $5.00, children free. Click here for a flier.

BATTLE OF BROOKLYN EVENT: August 29, 1 PM to 5 PM.  Dramatic Reading of the Declaration of Independence in 18th Century style at 2PM and 4 PM.  Learn about how it was written and the role it played during the Battle of Brooklyn.  Crafting & activities include a history scavenger hunt, writing with quill pens and simulated wampum jewelry.  Adults $5.00, Children free. HARVEST FESTIVAL:  Sunday, October 11, Noon to 4 PM.  Pumpkins and more Pumpkins!  Free pumpkins to the first 500 children, accompanied by an adult.  Live music, entertainment, games, crafts, apple cider making, candle making, tours of the Onderdonk House.  Adults $5.00, Children free.

The Greater Ridgewood Historical Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Therefore, donations are tax-deductible and would certainly be welcomed.
